Activated Alumina
Activated alumina is a commercial porous oxide with specific surfaces of 200-300 m2 g−1 and can be used for phosphate, fluoride and arsenic adsorption, especially in a fixed-bed mode. It is rather specific for these anions, and can be regenerated with dilute NaOH and sulfuric acid.
